Our very first private pressed flower art frame workshop has officially bloomed—and what a beautiful day it was!

Four women smile and hold framed flower art in a bright room with white walls and framed photos. Art supplies are on the table.

Before the workshop, I spent hours preparing over 50 kinds of real dried flowers and leaves, so each participant could explore and choose freely. All materials and tools were carefully laid out, from tweezers and glue to lining materials and frames—everything they needed to create something truly special.

Women at a crafting table focus on a project. One stands and assists. Bright green door and art supplies create an engaged, creative mood.

Originally, I planned for the session to last around 2 hours, including time to choose flowers, design the layout, and frame the final artwork. But as it turned out, we happily spent much longer together—because once you're surrounded by flowers and ideas, time just flies!

While we waited for the glue to dry, we created some lovely floral pens—a bonus craft that brought even more smiles.

It was clear that the designing process was the most fun and creative part, while framing the artwork turned out to be the most challenging (and professional!) step. Everyone learned how to preserve the delicate beauty and vibrant color of real flowers in a frame that will last.

To everyone who joined: thank you for bringing your ideas, patience, and creative energy. It was a joy to share this floral journey with you.

Looking ahead, I’m hoping to offer online workshops in the next year or two—so even if you can’t make it to Melbourne, you’ll still be able to join in from wherever you are. And yes, I’ll be your guide every step of the way 🌿
